Hello dear friends,

I know it's been a while since I reviewed a beauty product. To be honest, I put off writing this review because I was busy writing other articles for this blog. But enough of that, let's know more about Himalaya Herbals Moisturizing Aloe Vera Face Wash, a skincare product that I am currently using and quite liking too.

By the way, this is my second time purchasing Himalaya Herbals Aloe Vera Face Wash. I loved it when I first bought it, as it suited my combination and sometimes dry skin (keeps changing with season). Not to mention that it was reasonably priced. So I bought it again and decided to write a detailed review for you all.

About Himalaya Herbals Moisturizing Aloe Vera Face Wash

What you see is exactly what you get. Himalaya Aloe Vera Face wash comes in a typical Himalaya Herbals green and white tube packaging with a tight, dark green flip open cap. The tube carrying the face wash is semi-transparent. As a result, the actual product can be seen in the lower and upper parts of the tube, but not in the middle.

Coming to the written parts, the name 'Himalaya Herbals Moisturizing Aloe Vera Face Wash' is written in bold on the front of the tube. Certain phrases such as 'Enriched with natural Vitamin E', 'Prevents Drying' and 'Cools and Softens Dry Skin' are also clearly printed. In a nutshell, this provides us with vital information about the product.

Turn the tube and you will see some more information about this soap-free and herbal formulation. This product claims to be enriched with natural Vitamin E, which gently cleanses and moisturizes the facial skin. The cucumber in it, is said to provide a cooling and soothing sensation to the skin, while the aloe vera softens and tones it. This face wash is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested and clinically proven for effectiveness, as stated on the tube.
Ingredients:

Besides the above information, the tube includes a detailed ingredient list. The ingredients are listed below.

Aqua, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Glycol Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate & PEG-100 Stearate, Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract, Cetyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Coco-Glucoside & Glyceryl Oleate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone, Menthol, Tocopherol, Disodium EDTA, Cl 19140, Cl 42053.

Price & Availability

Though the actual price printed on the tube was Rs. 120/-, I paid Rs. 109/- for a 100 ml tube of Himalaya Moisturizing Aloe Vera Face Wash from Amazon (buy from Amazon).

This face wash is also widely available in supermarkets and online shopping sites such as Amazon, Nykaa and Flipkart. So, you can easily make your purchase.

My Review

I recently tried Himalaya Fresh Start Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash and had a lovely experience with it. So, I decided to try a 100 ml tube of Himalaya Herbals Moisturizing Aloe Vera Face wash this time. Another reason why I purchased this face wash was because it mentions cucumber and aloe vera as its key ingredients. It also contains natural Vitamin E and claims to moisturize the skin. Considering how my skin has transitioned from normal to slightly dry, purchasing this face wash seemed like a good idea.

In terms of the actual product, when you gently squeeze the tube, you get to see a minty green and creamy textured face wash. This face wash is smooth to touch, is slightly thin in consistency and free of granules. As for its fragrance, it is pleasant and mild but doesn't seem 'natural'. This, I believe, is due to the addition of 'fragrance' as its ingredient.
I generally use a small amount of this face wash (more than pea-size) and then rub it between my palms. Surprisingly it does not produce any lather or foam. As a result, when I apply and massage this face wash all over my face, it feels like I'm using a moisturizer. Post washing it off with water, my skin feels super fresh, soft and well-cleansed. Fortunately, I did not experience any dryness or tightness around my mouth or cheeks. Again, there were no pimples or breakouts.

On the downside, a few of the chemicals listed in this herbal formulation (including sulfate) are bothersome. Furthermore, while it is effective at cleansing the face, removing makeup with a single wash is difficult. These are the two prominent cons I can think off.

This face wash, in my opinion, is best suited for people with dry, combination or normal skin. Meanwhile, if you have oily skin, then I recommend trying Himalaya Fresh Start Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash.

My Ratings

I would rate it 4.5/5.👍 To summarize, Himalaya Moisturizing Aloe Vera Face Wash has been extremely gentle on my skin, while also being affordable. I would definitely recommend you try it out.
