Hello everyone,

Finding households with potted aloe vera plants in their balcony or a tub of aloe vera gel in the refrigerator is quite common. And why not? Be it calming skin irritation, soothing sunburnt skin, healing it post shaving or waxing or offering hydration to the skin - aloe gel gives a plethora of beauty benefits. Not to forget, this multipurpose gel can also be used in many DIY beauty recipes.

Now that I have written a bit about the benefits of aloe vera gel, I am sure you all have guessed it right. Yes! Today, I am going for any aloe vera gel review - my very first product from Deyga Organics.

By the way, a bit of research and I found out that this aloe gel is Deyga's best-selling product. After using it for more than two weeks now (my young daughter also uses it), I totally understand why many people are raving about it. So now no more build up, lets start with my review.

PS: Let me tell you something. In the midst of everyday life, I got a pleasant mail from Deyga Organics team regarding barter collaboration. They asked me to choose 2 free products from their website in return of honest reviews about them. They shipped the products - Aloe Vera Gel and Hair Growth Oil (read review here) and here I am talking about the product for you all after 2 weeks of use.

About Deyga Aloe Vera Gel

As you can see in the picture, Deyga Aloe Vera Gel comes in a round tin container (previously it was in plastic tub packaging). Green is the prominent color on this 125 gm container with pictures of aloe vera and bright red long floral shoots on it. I must say that the packaging looks quite attractive at first glance and I am quite impressed by it.

Turn the container and you have considerable info printed on it. I will list down a few here:

Claims

Hydrate and nourish your skin with the goodness of organic aloe vera, freshly sourced from the Deyga farms. Its soothing properties are here to kiss your skin with a platter of extra love and help you say goodbye to acne.

Ingredients

Aloe vera juice, guar gum, glycerin, Geoguard ECT (ECOCERT approved preservative)

How to Use

Take an adequate amount of Deyga's freshly sourced Aloe Vera gel in your hand. Gently apply all over the face, neck and body. The gel can be wiped off with a moist cotton pad or you can leave it overnight for deeply hydrated supple skin. For hair, apply the gel directly onto the scalp and let it rest for an hour. Wash it off with a mild shampoo.

My Review

My first impression regarding the tin packaging was that it was compact and cute looking. You can easily slip this product into your wallet or handbag and use it whenever you need to moisturize your hands or face on the go. Here, I have a small complaint though. I felt that the lid of the container was not as tight as it should have been - though it does not open even on tilting (which I tried). Till date it has not caused any leakage of the actual gel, but I still feel the lid could have been more fitted and tight.

On opening the lid, you come across a silver colored foil that keeps the actual aloe gel intact. The aloe vera gel itself is colorless and transparent (please try not to buy green colored aloe gel - that's artificially added color). This aloe gel has no fragrance to it and is cold-pressed (I found this bit of information on their website). By the way, aloe vera gel is cold-pressed to retain its nutrients intact.

Deyga Aloe Vera Gel has a jelly like appearance and is neither thin or very thick - the right texture I must say. On applying the gel on my skin (I normally apply it on my face, before sleeping) it spreads quite well, gets absorbed within a minute and kind of dries down to give a matte like finish. This aloe gel is also non-sticky and gives an instant cooling effect on application.

Since my skin is on the drier side, I use Deyga Aloe Gel overnight to hydrate my skin and then top it with a moisturizing night cream. This trick has fortunately worked for me. Luckily there have been no breakouts, irritation or stretchiness of any kind. On the contrary, I feel that my skin has got more smooth and a bit more radiant after regular use. So I am totally recommending it to you all.

For people with normal, oily and even combination skin type, I think this aloe vera gel would be enough to use as a moisturizer. But for people with dry skin like me, I would suggest you apply this aloe gel and seal its hydrating and healing properties with a moisturizer of your choice.

Now the best thing about this aloe gel is that it is not just limited as a face or body moisturizer. You can also use it as a base for makeup. Besides this, you can directly apply this aloe gel on the roots of your hair and massage it lightly to nourish the hair follicles, help reduce dandruff and promote healthy scalp and hair growth. Also for all DIY lovers like me, Deyga Aloe Gel can be used to make homemade hair and face packs, whenever you are in the mood of pampering yourself.

If you are looking for an aloe vera gel that is really good in quality, then you can definitely look into Deyga Aloe Vera Gel. It is priced slightly higher at Rs. 390/- for 125 grams, but I would absolutely repurchase it - given that it is cold-pressed, really good in quality and how well it suited my skin. The only con I can think of is that Deyga Aloe Vera Gel is available ONLY on their website (buy it here) and not anywhere else.

My Ratings:

I would definitely rate Deyga Aloe Vera Gel 4.8 / 5 considering its purity, how well it worked for me and the many ways I can use it. Highly recommended guys. Go for it.
