Hello friends, here I am again with a product review.

Off late I am trying to pick face washes that I have not used before and looking to see if it works for me. For this precise reason while indulging in some shopping a month back, I picked Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash Multani + Orange. There are many face washes available online and in supermarkets but the cheap price (Rs. 110/- for 120 ml pack – the tube said 20 ml extra😉), the orange and multani combination (which is a bit uncommon for a face wash) and the fact that it is natural, helped me make this pick. OK now let me not dilly-dally anymore but tell you more about this product and my experience with it.

About Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash Multani + Orange:

On first look, Banjara’s Tan Free Multani+ Orange Face wash looks striking with its orange and white tube packaging. It has a flip cap opening, which is neither too tight nor too loose for its contents to spill. The tube is light in weight and can be easily carried in your handbag. The front side of the tube says that it is Banjara’s (Touch of Nature) Tan Free Face Wash Multani + Orange while the back side tell you more about its ingredients, benefits and directions for use. The tube mentions that this face wash is an effective solution against everyday tanning and dullness and helps you feel refreshed and alive. This soap-free face wash claims to be enriched with natural moisturizers and anti-oxidants and helps to remove excess oil, exfoliate dead cells and de-tan skin.

Regarding the ingredients, the tube mentions Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) and Orange (Citrus sinensius) Peel Powder as its key ingredients. However there is NO mention of other ingredients used in the making of this natural face wash.

The directions to use caption tell you to apply this face wash on wet face and neck area with gentle strokes. Wash it off with water and pat dry to reveal soft, clean and refreshed skin. It also suggests to use this face wash twice daily for best results and that it is suitable for ALL skin types.

My Review:

The tube of Banjara’s Tan Free Face Wash Multani + Orange that I am presently using is just about to finish and I think it’s the best time to review it. Before going further with this review, let me tell you that calling this orange and multani formulation as face wash is a bit incorrect. I would rather refer to it as a face wash cum gentle exfoliating scrub as it not only cleanses your face but also helps remove dead cells, dirt, excess oil and even makeup. That means if you are looking to clean as well as exfoliate your facial skin gently and daily, then this 2 in 1 face wash is a wonderful option.

Now, with respect to the actual face wash, when the tube is squeezed you notice two things instantly. One, the orange colored, slightly thick gel like preparation with tiny, visible crystals in it and secondly the fruity orange fragrance that hits you at once. The fruity smell is honestly quite pleasant and leaves a feel good factor whenever you use this face wash.

As advised, I have always tried to apply a bit of this face wash on my face and neck area and massage it gently. This glossy looking face wash produces lather, just like a soap, which is a plus. The tiny bead like multani particles can also be felt when massaging your face. These particles act as an exfoliater and remove excess oil and dead cells from the skin effectively. I have a normal skin type with a bit of black head problem around my nose area and I have noticed it to have lessened with regular use. However they do not go away completely. Also I do not understand the de-tanning effect. The only effect I have seen is a cleansed, refreshed and soft face I get after use and thankfully without any breakouts till now. I have not observed any changes with respect to my skin tone during my everyday use.

Overall, I would say, this face wash is affordable, good for regular use, travel friendly and readily available. It suits normal skin and I would also recommend it for oily  and combination skin types. However, the multani mitti acting as an exfoliating agent can dry out skin with regular usage, implying, that it would be better if people with dry skin types look for something else.

My Ratings:

4/5!👍 I might try it again after experimenting with a few other face washes.😎
