Engage W5 Perfume Spray Review: Floral & Fruity

I recently realized that although I regularly use deodorants, antiperspirant deos, and perfumes, I have never actually written a review about any of them. So, I thought, why not start with my recent purchase - Engage W5 Floral Fruity Perfume Spray?

I've used Engage deodorants before, but I had never tried one of their perfume sprays. By the way, Engage perfume sprays for women come in several variants, including Floral Citrus, Floral Musky, Floral Fruity, Spicy Floral and Citrus Aromatic. Since I generally like floral and fruity fragrances, I decided to pick the Floral Fruity variant.

After using it for some time, I thought it was finally time to share my experience. So, here's my honest review of the Engage Floral Fruity Perfume Spray including how it smells, how strong the fragrance feels, how long it lasts and whether I would buy it again.

Engage W5 is a floral and fruity perfume spray for women that is described as a fun and long-lasting fragrance designed to keep you feeling fresh throughout the day. The brand presents it as a convenient everyday fragrance and a perfect companion for your day.

According to the product information, the perfume is skin-friendly and made with ingredients considered safe for use on the skin. It is also dermatologically tested and suitable for all skin types.

The product also carries the Laboratoire Naturel quality assurance and mentions innovations in skin care. Engage claims that the fragrance lasts for up to 24 hours and that the formula contains no CFCs, making it an ozone-friendly formula.

Ethyl Alcohol Denatured, Fragrance, Propylene Glycol, Tertiary Butyl Alcohol, Denatonium Benzoate, Benzophenone-3, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Citral, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene

Note: There is also some information printed above the ingredient list on the bottle regarding the alcohol content. It says, Alcohol Content: 88.8874% W/W Ethyl Alcohol (95% V/V) Denatured with Tertiary Butyl Alcohol 0.122% W/W and Denatonium Benzoate 0.0006% W/W.

Directions to Use

Hold the bottle 10 cm away from your body and spray directly onto your pulse points, behind the ears and on the neck. Let it dry on the skin without rubbing. It can also be sprayed on clothes.

In terms of availability, I have found this perfume spray to be fairly easy to get. It is available through various online shopping platforms as well as major supermarkets and stores.

My Review and Experience

Packaging:

Engage Perfume Spray comes in a tall, slim and sturdy transparent plastic bottle with an attractive red-peach-golden gradient design. You can easily spot the Engage logo, the "W5 Floral Fruity" variant name and "Mega Pack" label on the front, while the back covers all the usual details like the ingredient list, directions for use, and manufacturing information.

The spray nozzle is positioned under the transparent cap, giving the bottle a neat and compact look. Overall, I really liked how lightweight and easy to hold this bottle is, making it easy to slip into a handbag or travel kit.

Fragrance:

As the name suggests, Engage W5 Perfume Spray brings together a mix of floral and fruity fragrance. Right after spraying, you get a hit of floral fragrance alongside a bright fruity scent, but after about a minute, the fruity notes become more prominent.

Also, I observed that the scent fills the room almost instantly after spray. But after about five minutes, that initial intensity calms down into a much softer, pleasant aroma.

What I particularly like is that the fragrance doesn't disappear completely. After the initial strong scent fades, a subtle sweet fragrance lingers on my body and clothes.

Staying Power and Performance:

Both my daughter and I have been using this perfume spray, although she wears it more regularly than I do. She absolutely loves the floral and fruity fragrance and likes it so much that she has already suggested that we repurchase it.😄

I, on the other hand, have a slightly different opinion. I find the fruity fragrance a little strong for my nose. Personally, I think I would have liked it more if the floral notes were a little more prominent. So, we kind of have slightly different preferences when it comes to this particular fragrance!

As for its staying power, I was pleasantly surprised. Even after spending around 10 hours outdoors on multiple occasions, I could still faintly smell the fragrance on myself. By then, of course, it had mixed somewhat with my natural body odour, but I could still detect the perfume. For an affordable daily body spray, that longevity is really impressive.

Cons of Engage W5 Floral & Fruity Perfume Spray

I'd rate Engage W5 Floral & Fruity Perfume Spray 4.3 out of 5. Overall, I enjoyed using it. For the price, quantity and impressive staying power, I think it makes a good option for everyday use.
