Here I am again, after a brief lull in blogging and that is only because I wanted to review a product after testing it myself. So, today, I am going to review a bottle of hair oil proclaimed to be tailor-made for hair concerns like dandruff, premature hair graying, dull hair and hair fall.

Why am I reviewing this product? The primary reason is because I am suffering from regular hair loss for more than a year now and it was bothering me no end.  In the quest to prevent daily hair fall, I started looking for natural products for haircare as they are safe and do not cause side effects. During this search I came across a number of anti-hair fall shampoos and even oils claiming to help people like me. Believe me, I have tried a few too (especially shampoos). However, I was not much satisfied till I started using Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment.

It is nearly 2 months now, a duration I feel is enough to know and review this product. And what I have observed and gained during these three months is reduced hair fall and improved hair quality. However, before letting you know more about my experience with this hair oil I would first start by introducing the product to you.

About Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Treatment:

The bottle of Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Treatment that I have nearly finished is a 100 ml pack, (wanted to try the small bottle first), though a 250 ml is also available in the market. The 100 ml plastic bottle like container with a nozzle has sentences like ‘oil is prescribed in Ayurveda for lush hair growth and prevent hair loss, dandruff and premature graying,” printed on its front side. It also states that this oil is a ‘natural conditioner’.

On reversing the bottle you get to know the ingredients used in making this wonderful 100% natural hair oil. Their five main ingredients or secrets to their very famous brigandi oil are indigo (known to give colour to the hair, smoothen the tangles, make hair thicker and lustrous), bringraj (helpful in reducing graying / balding of hair, promotes hair growth), amla (promotes hair growth, is an excellent conditioner, nourishes hair and scalp , prevents split ends and dryness), balloon vines (promotes healthy hair growth, prevents hair fall and dandruff) and sesame (prevents hair loss and lice, premature graying and works wonderful for migraine and insomnia).

Regarding the direction to use, they have advised us to massage the oil properly, ‘ensuring that the entire scalp is covered’. After leaving it for 25-30 minutes, take a head bath with a mild shampoo and warm water.

My Review:

I will begin my review with my very first observation, after opening the cap of Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment bottle and pouring a little of this hair oil through its nozzle. It was.... a brownish colored, strong, odd, earthy smell (maybe because of the variety of herbs used). Not very pleasant, I must say. Surprising this oil was not heavy between my palms, in fact, it was light and non-sticky (which I was not expecting). As mentioned on the oil bottle, I then proceeded to massage it gently and thoroughly on my hair and scalp and kept it on for a good half an hour. Thereafter I washed my hair with a mild shampoo (a natural shampoo that I use regularly). Honestly, during my hair wash itself, I got a silky feeling when weaving my fingers through my hair, giving a positive instinct about this oil.

I completely agree to the fact that this oil is a natural conditioner. I did not need an extra conditioner after shampooing my hair. It was that good. Once dried, the hair felt a lot better. Better in the sense of its shine and manageability. This was my first impression and experience with this oil.

I have been using this hair oil regularly now, twice a week (before hair wash) and I have felt a very noticeable improvement in the lustre and texture of my hair and considerable reduction in hair fall. It works for me. I am loving this product and have already stocked up another bottle of this hair oil. You can buy this hair oil at any of the online stores like Amazon, Nykaa or through Kama Ayurveda online/offline stores. I have found it readily available.

I thought a lot about the cons, but other than the smell (which I didn't like much) and the slightly higher cost (Rs. 575/- for a 100 ml bottle), I didn't find any. If you have any problems of hair loss, dandruff, damaged hair or premature graying, then I would recommend users to try this out first.

My Ratings:

4.8/5 👌👍👍Will continue using and definitely recommendable.
