Moisturizing your skin during the daytime is a must. And I have been doing so regularly, especially after cleansing my face in the morning. But as I grow older, I have been feeling the need to slightly change my skincare routine and include a night cream with age-defying benefits in it.
Since I have heard a lot of good things about Olay, I instantly thought of picking up a product from this renowned skincare brand. By the way, the product that I am talking about is Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Anti-Ageing Night Firming Cream, which I am going to review for you all. Read on to know all about this cream and how it fares in my opinion.....

As you can see in the pictures below, Olay Total Effects Night Firming Cream comes in a stylish looking cylindrical plastic bottle, with a pump dispenser and transparent plastic cap to it. The overall packaging of the product is in cream and black, with hints of gold to it.
This bottle makes it clear about the product right at the first instant, as words like 'Olay Total Effects' and '7 in One' being printed in bold. Below this, 'Anti-ageing Night Firming Cream' with emphasis given to 'Night' are few other things highlighted about the product.
Turn the bottle and you will see the brand claiming that it is an 'Anti-ageing night moisturiser with vitamins for visibly firmer, younger looking skin'. Besides this, they have directed on how to use this product and other essential information related to the manufacturing of this night firming cream.
In their outermost paper/plastic packaging, Olay has clearly mentioned that this is a non-comedogenic product. This means that this anti-ageing night cream will not clog or block your pores. Additionally, Olay has also claimed that this product offers 7 skin benefits in 1 to its users:
1. Visibly smoothens fine lines and wrinkles
2. Helps the skin to maintain its moisture
3. Helps even out skin tone and thus improve your appearance
4. Shrinks the pores on the skin
5. Helps smoothen and even out skin texture
6. Increases skin brightness
7. Hydrates the skin and makes it look firmer
Ingredients
Water, glycerin, niacinamide, isohexadecane, dimethicone, isopropyl isostearate, polyacrylamide, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, stearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, hydrolyzed wheat protein and other beneficial ingredients that helps this night cream to nourish, hydrate and moisturize your skin.
My Review
Let me just say that I purchased a 50 gm bottle of Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Anti-Ageing Night Firming Cream for two reasons. First, because I wanted to include a night cream in my everyday skincare routine and get rid of pink pigmentation on my cheeks (which I was constantly worrying about) and second, because of the tall claims made by the brand. And yes, the product's super attractive packaging was another factor that drew me towards it.
With respect to its packing - Olay Total Effects Night Firming Cream does not come in your regular tub/jar or tube packaging. But it has a uniquely designed sturdy plastic bottle with a tight and convenient-to-use pump dispenser to it. Light in weight, hygienic and easy to carry, is why I am giving it a big thumbs up at the very start of this review.
Press the pump dispenser (gently) and the cream that oozes out of the bottle looks white in color. This cream is rich but has a medium consistency to it, i.e. it is neither thin nor too thick. It also has a mild fragrance accompanying it - which I must say is quite pleasant.
To be honest, when I first tried this cream, I felt a bit of irritation on my face. And my instant feeling was that this product doesn't suit me. But then, I used this cream after a couple of days and it kind of worked for me. No feeling of discomfort after the initial hiccups.
Now I use this cream daily at night after cleansing my face. What I absolutely love about this cream is that it spreads evenly and absorbs easily into the skin. It does not feel oily or sticky at all. And the best part is the instant brightness and smooth and dewy look it brings to my face post application.
The next mornings when I wake up are also the same. My face looks supple and healthy, like it is well taken care off at night. Also, there is no dryness around my mouth, which I normally get due to my normal to dry skin type.
Now, after a month's use I can confidently say that this cream is working for me. My skin is definitely looking better and tighter than before. Also there is a gradual but noticeable reduction of pigmentation on my cheeks, which I am absolutely thrilled about.
Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Night Firming Cream claims to offer 7 anti-ageing benefits to the user. Though I am not sure if the product does offer all that it claims, it however does work efficiently in nourishing the skin and improving its overall health and appearance.
Here the only thing that slightly bothered me was that the bottle is not transparent. So you cannot figure out the precise quantity of cream left inside, once you start using it daily. Also, please press the pump dispenser gently when using this product. If you do not do so, then the extra cream will ooze out and stick at the opening of the nozzle, making it look messy.

4.5/5. I would sum up by saying that this product works amazingly well in making the skin more even, healthy and soft. In fact, I started noticing positive results in how my skin felt and behaved, starting from the 2nd week itself. So I am definitely going to purchase it again. Would I recommend it to you all?
